about.

Appel Game is a UX project developed during my first year of UX design studies.
Its goal was to rethink class attendance by turning a repetitive administrative task into a playful and engaging moment for both teachers and students.

The project was also an important learning step, helping me understand how to structure a UX project from start to finish, define clear objectives, and stay focused throughout the process.

challenge.

The initial observation was that taking attendance in class is often repetitive and unengaging.
The challenge was to transform this mandatory task into a playful and efficient experience without disrupting the educational framework.
To address this, a research and inspiration phase was conducted to understand how gamification can improve engagement while remaining simple and intuitive.
Several applications strongly influenced the project and helped shape a clean and refined UI.
References such as Duolingo, WhatsApp, and Pinterest inspired the use of colors, buttons, and visual hierarchy.
These inspirations helped avoid unnecessary complexity and focus on clarity and usability.
This approach allowed Appel Game to deliver an engaging yet controlled experience for both teachers and students.

result.

Appel Game proposes an interactive attendance system where students can respond through playful mechanics, such as music-based answers or dynamic challenges, combined with rankings and timers.

The interface was designed with a strong focus on clarity and visual consistency.
The color palette was inspired by familiar digital environments and apps such as Duolingo, Pinterest, and WhatsApp, ensuring a friendly, accessible, and engaging experience.
